Pilates at SACB

Pilates is a refreshing mind-body workout, which focuses on core stability and posture, aiming to lengthen and strengthen muscles. The exercises are performed in a very slow and controlled manner with similarities to yoga as the class incorporates relaxation and breathing techniques. Pilates increases flexibility, agility, builds strength and is a safe yet challenging workout.

The Pilates at SACB studio is located next to our main studio at 13 West Beauregard. The Pilates studio is equipped with state-of-the-art Peak PilatesTM and Balanced BodyTM equipment and staffed by certified instructors. Individual private sessions and semi-private sessions alike are scheduled by appointment. Group reformer classes are also available. Beginner to advanced, individual to group classes, sessions are charged per time or you may purchase a Pilates card to receive a discount.

Instructors: 

Hailey Newlin, SACB Director of Pilates:
A native of San Angelo, Hailey began her Pilates training in 2002 while interning under Lisa Fehrman in Austin, TX. She is certified through the Pilates System directed by Colleen Glenn with over 500 hours of teacher training and 7 years experience of instructing the beginner to the advanced. Her love of movement from years of dance and sports training drew her to a career in Pilates. She has personally experienced through Pilates how opening the joints, lengthening and strengthening the muscles, and having a better understanding of the body will improve posture, flexibility, body awareness, and overall well being. She is passionate about the method of Pilates and believes the movement can heal the body. Hailey strives to lead her clients to achieve their fitness wants and needs in a fun and dynamic manner.

All mat classes take place in Studio 17 which is accessible through 15 W. Beauregard. Mat classes are on a drop-in, pay-as-you-go basis. You must sign up for equipment classes through the studio. Equipment classes take place at 13 W. Beauregard.

Intro to Equipment Class: This 2-hour class is held on the first Monday of each month from 5:30-7:30pm. This class or 4 private sessions must be taken before participating in a group equipment class so you can be trained on machine adjustments and basics of Pilates. Space in the Intro class is limited. Please call the studio to register. This class is $30 per person.

FREE PILATES DAY

Come try out what Pilates can  do for your health by participating in a free equipment or mat class! Classes begin at 9, 10 and 11am. Space is limited for equipment classes so please call the studio to sign up.
